The 38th Baselworld Show has wound up with smiles all round: firstly from the Swiss exhibitors, with confirmation of the signs of recovery recorded in January and February of this year; then from the visitors in their response to the superb pieces created by Switzerland’s watchmakers; and, finally, with attendance up on last year (100,700 visitors, +7%), from the organisers.

At Baselwrold 2010,  the world’s biggest and most important watch show,we can see some major themes :

(1)Understated and classic watch designs are back in vogue. Many watchmakers served up vintage and retro watch designs based on past, successful models.
